Paris: Where to Eat

It’s no secret that one of the main reasons I love to travel is to explore the cuisine of new places. Paris is one of the cities in the world most known for its food scene, and in my 8 months spent living in the French capital, I collated this list of my favourite places to dine. Whether you're a lover of fine dining or seeking the cozy ambiance of a traditional bistro, Paris has something to offer.

What to Do

1. Wander around Le Marais
Explore the picturesque streets of Le Marais, known for its beautiful architecture, great shopping, and epic food. Don't miss Rue des Rosiers, famous for its falafel at L’As Du Falafel.

2. Visit the Sacre Coeur
Visit the Sacre Coeur for breathtaking views of the city, I think this is the most beautiful of all the Parisian church buildings. Walk up the stairs at the front, stop for lunch or a drink at Le Consultat then walk back down through Rue Du Calvaire for quaint Parisian street views.

3. An afternoon at the park Le Buttes Chaumont
Take a leisurely stroll through Buttes Chaumont park and immerse yourself in its natural beauty. It's a bit out of the way but definitely worth the visit.

4. Stroll around Ile Saint-Louis
Wander around Ile Saint-Louis and enjoy breakfast or lunch at Le Saint Regis, soaking in the charming ambiance of this historic island.

5. Visit the Jardin des Tuileries
Explore the iconic Jardin des Tuileries, where you can admire the beauty of the Louvre and engage in some people-watching (one of my favourite travel past times).

6. Walk over Invalides Bridge
Head to Invalides metro and walk to Invalides bridge, where you can enjoy drinks by the river and soak in the stunning views of the city.

7. Tower Montparnasse
Enjoy panoramic views of the city from the top of Tower Montparnasse, offering a unique perspective of Paris's skyline.

8. Eiffel Tower, Champs Elyseé, Notre Dame:
Of course, no visit to Paris would be complete without seeing these iconic landmarks. Take your time to explore and soak in the beauty of these timeless attractions, but beware that eating or drinking near any of them will lead you straight into a tourist trap, where you’ll pay double for anything.
